Built for Canadian boutique law.
Five things we built specifically because partners and paralegals at boutique firms asked us to.
01Witness flow that holds up in court.
Same-device handoff for wills + POAs OR email-a-witness for remote. Cert page documents who witnessed whom with timestamps and IPs. Quebec, Ontario, BC, and AB conform.
02Signing groups for partner approval.
Any-of-N approval (e.g., any 2 of 4 partners). Match your firm's matter-approval matrix without rebuilding workflows.
03Bilingual EN + FR for Quebec matters.
AI field detection reads ‘Signataire’, ‘Daté’, ‘Paraphes’, ‘Nom’ alongside their English equivalents. Cert page renders in the matter language.
04Audit cert defensible in court.
Dual SHA-256 hash, signer identity capture, timestamped event log, IP + device fingerprint. The format provincial e-commerce acts recognize.

05PDF redaction baked on send.
Black-out client information before send. Redaction is flattened into the bytes — no reversible layers. Confidentiality protected at the seal.
0615-year retention available.
Match limitation periods for your matter type. Storage stays in ca-central-1 Montréal the whole time. Exportable as PDF/A on demand.
Every matter type your firm handles.

Questions, answered.
Is an Ink. e-signed document admissible in Canadian court?
Yes, federally under PIPEDA + the Personal Information Protection Acts, provincially under each ECA (ON), LCCJTI (QC), ETA (BC/AB/etc.). The dual-hash audit cert + identity capture + timestamps satisfy the evidentiary standard.
How do you handle Quebec Law 25?
Loi 25 mandates explicit consent for personal info processing + record retention. Ink. captures consent at the door, logs it, and stores the document + audit cert in ca-central-1. The cert page renders in French when the matter is FR.
Witnessing a will — same device or remote?
Either. Same-device handoff is the default (testator signs, hands phone to witness, witness attests). Remote witness via email link is supported where provincial rules permit.
Where is the data stored?
Supabase Postgres in ca-central-1 (Montréal). No data leaves Canada at any point — including for backups, replicas, or processing.
Can I export everything as PDF/A for court filing?
Yes. Every signed doc + cert page is exportable as PDF/A-3a. Suitable for court filing systems that require it (e.g., the SCC).
Custom matter-numbering and matter-coding?
Yes. The envelope ID can be overridden with your matter number (e.g., 2026-1142-AB). Tags + filters in /app let you slice by matter, client, partner, status.
Run a matter end-to-end on a 30-min call.
